Distribution of the primary consignment of Covishield vaccine has started across India from the Seram Institute, Pune. Four days before the beginning of corona vaccination, shipments have began to be sent to different parts of the country.

The first shipment of the Covishield vaccine left the Pune Serum Institute in three temperature-controlled trucks under tight security on Tuesday (January 12th) morning after a series of formalities.

The trucks have 48 boxes of ticker, each of which weighs 32 kg. Vaccines are being sent from Pune airport to 13 cities in India on six commercial flights, including two cargoes.

It is learned that the consignment of vaccines will reach West Bengal within the afternoon. Later, the vaccine are going to be sent from the most medical stores of the state to 941 points.
